In this episode of Inner Impact, I’ll take you through a grounding practice and a soothing visualization exercise, helping you connect deeply with yourself, the present moment, and the feelings of calm, confidence, and power.

During the visualization, you’ll come across a special object that can guide you on your journey to inner alignment. To wrap things up and help you take meaningful steps forward, I’ll share three reflection prompts to help deepen your understanding and encourage you to put your new insights into (aligned!) action.

[0:04] Hey there! Welcome to Inner Impact, a podcast about taking aligned action. I’m your host, Giada Centofanti, coach and founder of Care to Impact. [0:52] Hey there, welcome to Inner Impact. Today, I am going to guide you through a visualization that will help you nurture your inner alignment. But I don’t want to give you too many spoilers, so let’s see how the episode is going to work.

[1:10] I am going to open with a grounding practice so you can focus on yourselves, connect with yourselves and the present moment. Then I will guide you through the visualization.

[1:22] After that, I will leave you three reflection prompts you can use to journal or ponder to integrate the insights you gained during the visualization and let them guide you to take aligned action. Okay, so just a couple of things before we start. You will need a quiet or quite enough space to be able to engage with this visualization fully. If you can move in such space before we start. If you cannot actually visualize things, don’t worry. Let them come to you in different forms. You can imagine them, they could be words or concepts, or they could be physical sensations or perceptions. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, please open your eyes, stop the visualization, and use your senses, sight, touch, hear, taste, and smell to reground yourselves into the present moment. Finally, if those kind of things just don’t work for you, no problem. And above all, no shame and no guilt. Skip this episode or listen to it without trying to visualize. Whatever works best for you. Okay, now we’re ready to start.

[2:36] Settle down in a comfortable position. Soften your gaze or close your eyes if you like. Now start connecting with your breath. Take a deep breath in.

[2:48] Music.

[3:25] Breathing as you begin focusing on your body. Notice if there is any tension. While you breathe, slowly explore your jaws, your neck, your shoulders and let them relax. If there is any tension, breathe into it and feel a relaxing warmth spreading and releasing the tension.

[3:50] Music.

[3:56] Now slowly shift your focus to your chest, stomach and back and allow them to relax. Again, if you feel any tension, breathe into it and feel it release as a warm sensation spreads.

[4:11] Music.

[4:29] Finally, explore your belly, your legs, your feet and let them relax. Again if you feel any tension, breathe into it and feel the relaxing warmth spreading and releasing the tension.

[4:58] Now, from this state of calm and relaxation, you start picturing yourself standing in a peaceful, open space. It could be in nature, or anywhere that feels welcoming to you.

[5:12] Music.

[5:18] Ahead of you is a beautiful path, illuminated softly by a warm inviting light. You start following the light and exploring the path and the space you are in.

[5:35] Music.

[5:54] While you explore, you start feeling more and more at ease, calm, and at the same time powerful and confident. If you want, let yourself embody those feelings of serenity, power, and confidence by assuming a position. Don’t overthink it. Let your body guide you.

[6:13] Music.

[6:26] Rooted in calm, power and confidence, you see an object appear in front of you. You may actually see it or perceive it with your other senses, or it may come to you as a word or a concept, but don’t resist it, notice it.

[6:45] What is it? Does anything in particular strike you?

[6:50] Music

[7:31] This object is a tool that will help you create inner alignment. So, when you feel ready, take the object and bring it with you while you follow the warm light, and let it guide you back down the path to the spot you were in at the beginning of this visualization.

[8:11] Take a moment to savor again the warmth and the feelings of calm, power and confidence.

[8:27] When you are ready, bring your attention back to your body. Maybe stretch out your arms or wiggle your fingers and toes. Now shift your focus to the room around you and when you are ready slowly open your eyes.
