[0:29] Hi there, and welcome to the final episode of the mini-series In 2026, You Don’t Need Any More Advice, our series about reconnecting with, nurturing, and trusting your personal compass. Well, over the past episodes, we have talked about why you don’t need any more advice, we explored the concept of the personal compass, and what it feels like when you are disconnected from it or don’t trust it. We have also touched on how reconnecting with your inner guidance can be easier with some external support. So now you might be wondering, what does life feel like when you have built trust in your personal compass, when you have reconnected with it and fully trust it? Well, that’s exactly what we are diving into today.
[1:20] So let’s start with a keyword here: trust. When you trust your personal compass, you experience a deeper sense of trust in your own abilities and skills, especially when it comes to making decisions about your business and creative work. And here is the beauty of trust. It opens the door to experimentation. You feel more willing to try new things because you know that your personal compass will guide you. So if an experiment does or doesn’t work out, you trust that you will find your way, whether that means course correcting or doubling down on what’s already working. And this trust gives you a tool to navigate uncertainties in business, in creativity, in life. Because let’s be honest, uncertainty is something we all face and it is uncomfortable, right?
[2:17] Our brains crave predictability, they want data to feel safe and energy efficient, but sometimes we don’t have all the answers. And here’s the thing, even when you have built a strong relationship with your personal compass, uncertainty doesn’t magically disappear because at the end of the day, every decision we make is all about uncertainty. We don’t know until we know it, right? We don’t know if that decision will work out the way we want until we make it and act on it. So uncertainty is still there, but what changes is your relationship with it.
[2:58] Because when you trust your personal compass, you are also able to identify what helps you regulate your nervous system. This means that you can approach uncertainty and the emotion it evokes in a healthier way. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You can trust that your inner guidance will help you navigate whatever comes next. Now, for some of us, feeling uncomfortable with uncertainty often stems from the desire to feel in control, which is sometimes connected to past trauma or feelings of anxiety. Well, coming back to your personal compass can gently help you recognize this and guide you toward the support that’s right for you to address it. And also, when you trust your personal compass, you learn that making a decision is not something set in stone. You can always change your mind and as we mentioned earlier, you can see your decisions as experiments. So, for example, one of my clients tended to think.
[4:00] Something like, you know, if I say yes to this thing, it’s going to be forever. And then what if I hate it? So while working together, she had a chance to practice the, you know, quote-unquote experimental approach. She was offered an opportunity to collaborate on a project. And she decided to say yes, but for a specific time frame, something like three months. And communicated that up front to the person who offered this collab, who agreed. And during that time frame on her own and during our coaching sessions she practiced connecting with her guidance to check how the experiment was going, right? If it was feeling aligned and at the end of the experiment she decided not to keep going because it wasn’t the right fit. So trusting and practicing connecting with her personal compass helped her see and learn that she could take an experimental approach and that decisions are not set in stone. So moving forward, facing decisions, she felt like she had less pressure on her shoulders. Okay, so we said that discomfort of uncertainty doesn’t disappear, but the relationship with it transforms.
[5:18] But what else changes when you trust your personal compass? Well, the way you make decisions changes. Because the more you practice being in relationship with your personal compass, the quieter that automatic reflex to seek answers outside yourself becomes. You start noticing when external input might actually be helpful, but you are no longer dependent on it. And of course, this work isn’t about becoming omniscient or overly independent, as we already mentioned in the last episode. It’s about trusting that your personal compass will guide you to the resources that you need, whether those resources are internal or external. And what else happens when you have your personal compass right there with you? Well, let me share what my clients have told me about their experiences after reconnecting with their personal compass.
[6:13] Well, for starters, they have stopped constantly second-guessing themselves and seeking answers outside. But above all, they have gained so much clarity and confidence in their ability to make decisions about their work, to run their businesses, and to build them in ways that feel aligned and meaningful. And as a result, they have stopped ruminating and feeling anxious about what they’re planning to do next. Their nervous systems feel more regulated. They trust their clients, they trust their collaborators, and they trust themselves more deeply. Their workloads feel more aligned, both with their values and their capacity. They experience more enjoyment, more spaciousness, and even more aliveness. They feel connected and passionate about their work. Some of them are even making more money despite having cut their client load. Now, of course, I can’t promise these exact results for you, right? Because everyone’s journey is unique. But I wanted you to have a clear idea of what working together to rebuild connection and trust in your personal compass could help you achieve.
[7:28] But also what it is that you want to achieve? Let’s take some time to focus on the results you might want. Let me offer you a couple of final prompts to reflect on the results you want to achieve, on what you want to experience and how you want to feel while building your business and creative work. As usual, feel free to pause the episode to reflect on the prompts or come back to them later. Okay, take a moment and ask yourself, what results, experiences, and feelings do I want to move toward in this season of my business and creative work?
[8:08] How would reconnecting with my personal compass and trust in its guidance help me with those results, those experiences, and those feelings? What’s the first step I can take this week to start reconnecting with my personal compass and trusting it to move toward what I want?
[8:29] Hi, if you paused the episode, welcome back. As we come to the end of this series, I want to remind you that reconnecting with your personal compass isn’t about reaching a finish line. It is ongoing work. It is about creating and nurturing a relationship with yourself. It is about staying in conversation with yourself so you can make aligned decisions for your business and bring your creative, impactful work to life, which of course isn’t always easy, and that’s perfectly okay. So if you’d like support as you continue this journey, whether that’s deepening your trust, navigating decisions, or making space for what wants to emerge, you can book a complimentary clarity session with me. We will explore what you need right now and whether my coaching approach could support you in your business and creative journey. Thank you so much for listening and for being here for this series.
[9:29] And while this series is complete, the conversation, of course, isn’t. In the future episodes of Inner Impact, we will keep exploring business, creative work, and decision-making through the lens of reconnecting with your personal compass and trusting its guidance. Until then, keep tuning into your personal compass.
